Suspension

For the suspension on our Monster Energy Kawasaki Teryx, we chose to work with Fox Racing Shox, Funco Motorsports and iTi Performance Motorsports.

Fox Racing Shox Position Sensitive Shock

Fox Racing Shox Position Sensitive Shock

Fox Racing Shox Position-Sensitive 2.0 (available with DSC) gives you position-sensitive damping for the optimal compression damping at each phase of the stroke, and its wide range Dual Speed Compression adjustability allows a set-up that’s perfect for driver style and course condition.

The internal bottom-out cup provides additional damping at the very bottom of the stroke to give you the ability to push your vehicle harder for longer with improved driver confidence.

Less compression damping at ride-height gives improved comfort and traction while huge damping in the end-zone helps to flatten out the biggest bumps.

Features:

  • Position sensitive damping in a single coil-over shock
  • No need for separate by-pass and coilovershocks
  • Available in 3 different sizes(6.5”, 8.5” and 10” Travel)
  • Also available with DSC(Dual Speed Compression)
  • Secondary piston, cup and post functionin the last 25% of travel to provide additional anti bottom-out force
  • A precision tapered cup lead-in provides asmooth transition, essential for maintaining traction during mid-corner bumps
  • Zero Cup Bleed ensures low-speed dampingright to the end of the compression stroke (zero velocity)

We have an 8.5″ shock up front and a 10″ shock in the rear.

Funco UTV Kawasaki Teryx long travel kit includes +4″ chromoly tubular a-arms and longer 300M axles. In our opinion, the +4″ stance is the perfect balance for our multi-discipline Teryx.  +6″ are just too wide for rock crawling, and anything narrower than +4″ just doesn’t provide enough wheel travel.

With over 40 years experience in off-road chassis technology, few companies have the fabrication experience to build UTV accessories and upgrades like FuncoUTV.  Funco’s heritage evolved from racing and sand sports with a reputation for engineering excellence and durability that simply works. Funco’s engineering expertise offers extreme performance advantages for both racing or pleasure riding. Increasing safety, appearance and overall performance of the Kawasaki Teryx is what Funco is all about.

We chose iTi Performance Motorsportsfor all of our sway bar needs. For short course racing at Prairie City SVRA, we install front and rear bars.  For King of the Hammers, the Rubicon Trail and Moab we want all the flex we can get, so the sway bars come off.  For desert racing we install just the rear. The iTi sway bars provide great sway control for all of our situations.

iTi Performance Motorsports started was founded in 2005 by USAC/CRA Championship car owner Glenn Crossno. Glenn’s racing roots stem back to the 1950′s when his dad, Dale Crossno, started racing midgets. Since its start in 2005, iTi has expanded into a new 11,000 square foot, state of the art, CNC equipped shop in Ontario, California to take on the task as a full service racing facility. In addition to UTV sway bars, iTi also manufactures and sells performance and drivetrain components for the Polaris RZR, Yamaha Rhino and Kawasaki Teryx.
